This is a class for the programmer who will be using a Siemens S7-1200 PLC and the TIA Portal - Step 7 Basic software for the first time. The course includes a hardware overview, system architecture, IEC 6-1131 programming and data structure and also creating a basic HMI Touch Panel interface. This class will be hands on with practical lab work. The course goal is to give the programmer an understanding of S7-1200 PLC hardware and software platform to facilitate development of projects using this powerful compact PLC platform.
