Job Description:
WESTERN MICHIGAN TERRITORY - SALES ENGINEER
Home office location: Auburn Hills, MI
Scope of Position: Overall responsibility for the business development activities and sales growth for the assigned territory. Lead the marketing strategy and execute a sales plan that achieves 15% year over year growth without degradation of margin. Participate in the sales forecasting and budgeting process.
Duties:
- Develop and grow the sales volume and customer data base for the assigned territory
- Work with customers to ensure technical products are meeting expectations, aligning application engineering support where needed
- Work with the Customer Service function to maximize customer satisfaction and streamline the flow of business
- Use the sales tools and best practices for efficient presentation, quoting, and ordering of products
- Grow existing accounts by leveraging the related manufacturers products and builds the Axis Systems brand
- Manage Perfect Distribution with accurate customer details
- Create an annual Sales Forecast and Business Plan
- Develop specific customer growth strategies that realize profitable growth
- Coordinate and interact with the principle manufacturers to build relationships
Functional Responsibility
- Drive Sales through effective marketing and closing
- Understand the applications and provide high value solutions that are competitive
- Communicate with Customer Service, Application Engineering and Finance
- Manage the Customer Relationship Manager – Perfect Distribution

Prerequisites
- 3-5 years sale experience in the automation industry
- Application engineering experience
- 4 year degree preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
